The first few times are not easy, it is a new profession and there is a lot of mistrust, but her competence and love for dogs that shines through to anyone who enters the shelter even just to have a look soon reward her, help is needed and by selecting the best candidates the staff expands.

In 2018, the Spelacchio grooming salon joins the DOG IS GOOD adventure, opening right next to the Asilo! It doesn't get any more convenient than this...

Time passes and within a few years the building that initially seemed too big begins to feel cramped!

The search begins… finding a place that offers everything the demanding Federica desires for her “little” (but sometimes not too much!) guests is not easy… she dreams of a large, comfortable and heated internal space… a huge green area where they can chase each other at breakneck speed… maybe even a courtyard, why not?… and obviously let's not forget a space for the now indispensable adventure companion Spelacchio!

The search in fact lasts a long time, only in 2020 Federica finds a new home for the nursery... internal space, green area, courtyard... and an area for Spelacchio... it's all there!

The new facility also features a physical store, where daycare members and non-daycare workers can purchase the best products for their four-legged friends.

There wasn't even time to have a proper inauguration before we had to close down, the Covid-19 virus was hitting the entire world and we had to take action by limiting contact.

The prolonged lockdown and the consequent impossibility of making purchases in physical stores is however a starting point to start thinking about being able to expand the boundaries of the nursery by giving the possibility, even to those who cannot physically go to the store, to purchase the items that Federica selects with the care she would reserve for the choice of products for her dogs... the seed for the birth of Dog is Good Online Shop is planted.

Time to work on it and the Dog is Good Online Shop website lands on the web… the rest of the story is yet to be written!
